🌍 Global Recycling Day – Let’s Do Our Bit at the Club 💚
To mark Global Recycling Day in March, we’re introducing an important step forward in making our clubhouse more sustainable.
We have now secured a waste collection service for all three waste streams, meaning recycling, food waste, and general waste can all be processed correctly. This is a big milestone for the club—but it also means it’s more important than ever that we all do our part.

You’ll see three clearly labelled bins in place in the clubhouse:
· Green – Recycling, Clean and dry plastic bottles, aluminium cans, cardboard, and paper.
· Brown – Food / organic waste, All food scraps, fruit peels, and compostable coffee cups.
· Grey – General waste, Non-recyclable items, soft plastics (wrappers/foils), and heavily soiled containers.
🤝 A Request for Our Members
🤝 A Request for Our Members
We’re asking all members to take a moment to segregate your waste correctly. If waste is mixed, it can’t be processed as intended and may end up going to landfill, undermining the effort and resources put in place.
By using the bins properly, you’re also supporting our volunteers who manage waste after training and events. Good segregation makes a real difference in reducing their workload and ensuring the system works effectively.
A quick check before you bin something helps keep our clubhouse clean, reduces waste, and supports a more sustainable club for everyone.
Let’s make this count.
Thank you for your support! From the Green Team
