Brian Fay was the perfect role model for our juveniles who took to the National Cross Country course before Fay claimed his Senior National Cross Country title.

Our U12 girls opened proceedings on a wet, heavy course and placed 10th club team. Well done to Hannah, Evie, Una, Emma, Ellie and Leia.

The U16 girls followed, taking 14th through Georgina, Aoibheann, Sophie, Annabel and Saoirse, while James Smith represented Dublin in the U16 boys’ race.

The standout juvenile results came in the U18 boys’ race, where Conrad Latham claimed national silver and led Raheny to team silver alongside Charlie Gunawardhana, Ely Nolan and Mark O’Callaghan, finishing behind Donore Harriers.
With the U18 and U20 races combined, this very young squad also secured an impressive fourth place in the U20 category with 170 points behind Donore (89pts), Clonliffe (145pts) and Lagan Valley (147pts).

Raheny’s depth was clear across the age group, with strong support from Tom, Theo, Christian, Daniel, Cillian, Fionn and George. Conrad and Charlie also scored for the Dublin team, helping the county to gold.

A great day for the parish, and clear signs that the future is green ☘️
