The Last Sunday before Christmas and the Annual Joe Noonan Memorial race in honour of our former Club President and father of our current President PJ Noonan.
A fun and festive event exclusive to club members and limited to the first 100 entrants.

The Event – Five Mile Road Race (2 laps) – Starts at Manor House – Finish Taxi Rank
The Time – 10am start
Prizes – 1st three Individuals (male & female) – 1st 10 Teams of four.
The Rules
Entrance Fee of €6 with complete fee being passed on to GOAL by the club.
Entrants lodge €6 to the club account IE56BOFI90065810800597 online and text confirmation of lodgement to Dick Hooper at 087-2271940.
From all entrants teams of four will be drawn from bowls as follows;
Age Range 15 – 35, Age range 36 -50, Age Range 51 -65, Age Range 65+.
Teams will be made up of two males and two females (subject to entries) .
Number collection at the clubhouse from 9am on Race morning.
Post-race – Adjourn to Clubhouse for a reception with a Christmas feel afterwards with an open invitation to all competitors, supporters and club members afterwards.
Hot sausage rolls, mince pies, Teas and Coffees in plenty.
Green Sunday
On the day of the race we encourage members to bring along your keep cups/reusable cups for the post-race party as a statement of your support for the green sustainability agenda within the club and our commitment to reduce waste within Raheny Shamrock.
