The men’s team took fifth place in the Leinster Intermediate championship.

Stephen Butler was first home in 11th place with David Jackson 23rd, Ian McConkey 26th and Conor Wynne Walsh 33rd gave the team a total of 93 points.

However, Kilkenny City Harriers took gold with 40, followed by Mullingar Harriers 62nd and Donore Harriers third in 76 points. Celbridge took fourth place with 77 points.

There was medals in the master’s events. Maria Dolan took Leinster women’s O/55 gold. While, David Kirwan took Leinster men’s O/45 Bronze.

The masters men’s team of Brian Sexton came home in ninth place followed by David Kirwan 10th, Robert Frewen 14th and Ronan Wogan 27th for a total of 60 points and the Leinster masters gold medal.

Davey Duane and Eric Champ were the two non-scoring team members.

While the Ladies O/50 team of Maria Dolan 20th, Jenny Colbert 60th and Jean Dunne 71st led the team to silver with 154 points behind St. Laurence O’Toolte (Carlow) taking gold with 136 points. Bronze went to Mullingar Harriers with 156 points.

Angela Charlton was the non-scoring member of the team.

On the roads, Art O'Neill Ultra Challenge over 63km, Martin Kirrane clocked 10:34:48.

While at the The Valley Inn 5km Gerard Fay posted 27:31.
