Well we didn't qualify for the final which wasn't surprising given the uphill battle coming in.

A quick reminder of who stepped up for the team.

Zoe gave the high jump a go but the bar was set higher than we anticipated! She later took on the 1500m as well as bringing an infectious energy to boot.❤️

Ella had a pb in the 60m and did the 4x200m along with Erin, Sara and Siobhan.

Siobhan, made her debut in the Raheny vest in the 400m as well as the relay.

Sara also made her debut for Raheny in the relay.

Clodagh, your new captain, walked the walk! 

Penny took on the long jump and Penny's coach Helen did the shot for us.

My main observation of the event was the delight of our young athletes after the relay.
They didn't win but they were so exhilarated after it they might as well have! 
They said it was fun and that's what it's about.🤸🏽‍♂️

So my takeaway for the day was you can train all you like but you will not experience that joy unless you compete. 

So feel the fear and do it anyway as they say!
